Policy Clarification: on Religion

In the Policy Outline there has been a section dedicated to Religion. This section stated;

"We understand that people feel a need for a connection to the spiritual. We understand that there is more to life than pure economics. We favour the study of our ancient spiritual traditions, including the Pagan, Druidic, Odinist, Roman, Norse, Greek and other religions indigenous to Europe. We reject the dictatorial exploitative religions of the East. We will actively discourage the belief in the monotheistic religions originating from the Middle East, favouring instead those who are Euro-polytheistic or are not interested in pursuing any faiths. We recognise the harmful nature of organised Christianity, Judaism and Islam to the English nation and will make religion a matter of conscience for people to engage in in private. We will not tolerate organised globalist religion pushing its agenda in public. No Mosque, Synagogue, Sikh Temple, Church etc will be left to continue pushing the belief systems of Globalism.  For Christians, we will encourage the rejection of Protestantism, Catholicism and Unitarianism in favour of Orthodoxy, which we respect for its solidarity with the People. Buildings of outstanding architectural beauty such as Cathedrals and some of the more architecturally impressive churches, will be turned into centres of culture for the people.  We are Socialists. This means we believe in our Society. We are not liberals and we have no sympathy with 'political correctness' which is globalist treason hidden behind well-sounding slogans and fake smiles, and we will not allow decadent clergymen to use their pulpits to promote ideological policies which are harmful to the people.."

This section has now been revised to emphasise our belief in the importance of spirituality as an individual matter. We oppose those who use religion to impose their authority over others, but we do not oppose religious belief itself. The whole issue is a contentious one and we only continue to have a religious policy at all so as to make it clear that we do not follow the cult of atheism which is a trap so many Socialists fall into.

Policy clarification: The Israel and Palestinian situation

Prior to the acceptance of FWL 'activists' into the Party, our policy on Israel was very clear. Whilst rejecting any imperialist pretensions of global Zionism, we fervently supported the right of Israel to exist and for the Jewish People to have a national homeland.

We now formally return to our belief that what happens in Israel (including, Judæa, Samaria and Golan) is the business of the people of Israel.  We are sympathetic to the position of the Palestinians but we do not accept calls for the dismantling of the Jewish State.

Should Israel fall, the Jewish citizens would be expelled and those of European descent forced to return to the European lands most of them have no connection with. This would be detrimental to all involved, especially with the anti-Semitic rhetoric of the EU which becomes more vocal daily.

The Kibbutzim are examples of Socialism in practice which we support.

The Capitalists are an enemy to us all - Zionist Capitalists of all ethnicities and faiths deliberately hide behind Jews, so as to link the natural and correct opposition to Capitalism with the abhorrent racism of Jew-haters.  We despise the economic system which puts the acquisition of money above humanity. We share the devotion to the betterment of humanity as espoused in the Zohar, Gemara, Mishnah and Torah.

We sympathise with Palestinians and hope for a peaceful resolution to their plight. But equally, we oppose the anti-Semitic calls for Israel to fall, and extend our brotherhood with the people of that wrongly maligned nation.

The Free Workers' League have left the Socialist Motherland Party

The Socialist Motherland Party came into existence when the Free Workers' League and British Socialist Party joined together. Originally this merger was called the Socialist Workers' Party of England, but due to confusion with another organisation of a similar name it was decided to change to the current one.

We believed that our unification would serve to join two very small organisations which were so similar ideologically that it made no sense to do anything other than unite.  Sadly, this has proven to have not been the case.

There has been discontent for some time within the Party with the belief that the FWL contribution has been less than nil. The former BSP members have undertaken all the work, with the only significant impact of the former FWL members being an accommodation with ideologically standpoints which have become more at odds with the rest of the party than we anticipated.

The lack of work on behalf of the 'cadres' of the FWL faction led to the decision of the comrades who have been publishing material, organising activities, recruiting new members, manning the Party email addresses and telephones to withdraw our labour - to go on strike. It was hoped this would force the self-proclaimed cadres to step up and prove their worth by getting active. All electronic systems were forwarded so as to make this possible.

As can be seen by the total failure to do any work at all, we have found that the worth of the FWL faction exists solely in their own self-proclamations.  As a result, the BSP- FWL merger has been reversed.

The Party is keeping the name, Socialist Motherland Party. We will be reviewing our policies to remove points of contention accepted as a compromise with the FWL when we came together.

Apologies to all supporters and members who have been left in the dark while we have had to take the drastic action of striking to end the situation of a faction within the Party parasitically feeding on the rest of it.

The departure of the FWL leaves us numerically smaller. In terms of workload, we are no worse off.  In terms of ideology, we have the opportunity to grow.

Points of contact are now fully manned. Comrades are requested to get in touch to share the workload and build our organisation now the time-wasters and disrupters are gone.
