Fight Tyranny: Vote to LEAVE the EU

Tomorrow is the day of the EU Referendum. The choice the People of the UK face is a simple one - Freedom or Slavery. The outcome is likely to be that the brain-washed population will vote to 'Remain' in the Capitalist prison. Why? Because the UK government, the global media apparatus, global corporations/financiers (including the Soros controlled Open Society Foundations) and Capitalist/Trotskyite (is there a difference?) politicians worldwide have been campaigning to prevent the People from seeing that voting to Leave the EU is the only hope of ever getting onto the path of Freedom.

The 'Remain' camp has lied repeatedly, claiming that the economy of the UK would go into meltdown if the country was to become independent. The UK trades with the EU as a major importer of EU goods, so the idea that the EU would erect tariffs to halt trade is ludicrous. As Socialists, we find this argument beyond pathetic. Both the Leave and Remain camps have focused upon the need for transnational commerce. SWPE absolutely rejects the need for the UK to rely on trade to survive. This argument is as crass as the pro-Monarchy one which revolves around the need for us to keep in place a parasitic Ruling Class in order to draw in global tourism!

SWPE demands Brexit as a first step towards economic and social self-reliance for the UK.  We don't need to trade with other countries.  We don't need to be a part of the global capitalist prison camp. What we do need is to be self-sufficient and to make sure that the economy is the servant of the people, with every penny made here or exchanged here, staying here. The Capitalists who believe in a 'free market' are arguing that the UK needs to stay inside the EU in order for goods produced here to get to the customers in the EU. This isn't true. The UK imports just about everything we use, and so leaving the EU without drastically changing the economic direction of the country, would not alter the import situation. The Capitalist economy of the UK imports the majority of goods from China, with the rest coming mainly from the EU. The outcome of a 'Remain' result in the referendum would keep us locked into that system.

A 'Leave' result would - perhaps - make imports more expensive, thus making it necessary for the UK to restore its manufacturing base and produce what we need at home. Exports would become cheaper in that circumstance, further boosting the manufacturing sector and creating jobs. The Capitalist argument to 'Remain' makes no sense.

SWPE predicts that tomorrow the Referendum will see a clear majority of those who bother to vote, voting to stay in the EU. The negative campaigning by the Remain team will have swayed the people into voting for the status quo rather than having the courage to make a decision. That campaign has included forecasts of mass unemployment, more expensive imported televisions (!) and the ludicrous argument that we won't be able to go on holiday to the EU unless we're a part of it (forgetting the millions of Chinese tourists who visit the EU but are not from any of the member states).

The worst part of the campaign has been the intriguingly timed murder of the Remain campaigner, Jo Cox MP, and of the helpful and equally interestingly timed death threats against Yvette Cooper MP. The people have been subjected to ridiculous propaganda to the effect that the UK cannot survive on its own and that there is no alternative to Global Capitalism. The murder and death threats at the end of the campaign have only served to give the impression that Leavers are desperate terrorists and that a vote to Leave is a vote for tyranny. Its almost as if the Ruling Class orchestrated the murder of one of their lackeys to ensure the people stay cowering inside the system which keeps them down. Regardless of the truth of that, they have certainly made use of the events which have made Remain appear the anti-terrorists' choice.

The build up to the Referendum has seen the leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, reverse years of campaigning AGAINST the EU in which he accurately described it as an anti-democratic imperialistic tool of corporate oppression. The shameful betrayal of his alleged Socialist principles has left the Working Class in the position where those we are supposed to see as leaders, are lined up against us. Of course, Corbyn, like Cooper and the late Cox, is a Trotskyite, and when it comes down to serious political matters, he can be guaranteed to serve his Banker masters. Before exposing himself as an enemy of the Working Class (and before securing leadership of the Labour Party), Corbyn made the following observations about the EU:

• [If] Greece leaves both the eurozone and the EU its future would be uncertain, but at least it could be its own. … There is no future for a usurious Europe that turns its smaller nations into colonies of debt peonage. 
•  Switzerland, which is not a member of the EU, has no problems integrating rail services with Germany, France and Italy, and I do not think that any other country should have any problems either. What we have is the worst of all worlds 
•  Public opposition to the EU’s TTIP treaty is “a cri de coeur for democracy and for the right of people to elect a Government who can decide what goes on in their country. 

The betrayal by Corbyn has at least highlighted that the Labour Party will never offer any solutions to the problems of the People, regardless of whether they are Trotskyite fake-Socialists or Blairite ultra-Capitalists. But the joining of the vast majority of the Labour Party with the Liberals and most Conservatives, coupled with the obedient pro-EU propagandists of the BBC and most of the mainstream media, has left the Working Class without a voice, save for the likes of UKIP who have been painted as extremists and of course linked to the murder of an anti-Leave MP and the allegation of death threats against another.

Tomorrow we have a chance to say NO to tyranny. We have a chance to Vote Leave. We have to use that vote, even though the odds are stacked against us. The electoral fraud in the Scottish Independence referendum where pro-Scotland (Leave) votes were 'accidentally' counted as pro-UK (Remain), has set a disturbing precedent in which votes have been miscounted so that the will of the Ruling Class can be enforced. The same lies of lost pensions and economic meltdown were used to scare the Scottish People into staying in the UK prison, as are being used to keep the UK locked into the EU.

If we Leave the EU, power will be brought a step closer to the People, allowing us to control our own laws, economy and way of life. For English Socialists this means a big step forwards in the battle against Global Capitalism, with the next step being an end to the UK, followed by decentralisation to the English regions and ultimately giving power to the People.

If we Remain in the EU, this will not mean that things will simply carry on as before. The EU will use the result to push for closer integration, with an EU Army, Police and Legal System in place to make sure no one country ever escapes its clutches. The TTIP will transfer the EU into a trans-Atlantic bloc with absolute power being transferred to the Capitalist corporations. These factors together will make it possible that the imperialist aggressors of NATO will become the combined EU/US military, pushing us towards war with free-Europe (Belarus and Russia). The NHS will be lost forever as will any chance of having our industries owned by and working for us. Mass immigration as a result of NATO aggression displacing people from countries bombed for global profiteers, will ensure that the EU has a constant supply of cheap labour to drive down pay, eliminate decent working conditions, and make Wage Slavery more unpleasant than Slavery with chains.

If you want to be a Slave, to have your children owned by the Capitalist parasites, to have 'education' turned into pure indoctrination, to have the Class System reinforced to the point that you and your descendants will never get any more than the scraps from the table of those who think they have a right to own you, then vote Remain. If you want to be free, join with all SWPE activists and vote Leave.

The Orlando Murders Would Have Been Unthinkable in a Socialist Nation

The murders of 49 club goers in Orlando by Omar Mateen on June the 12th would not have happened if the USA had been a Socialist nation.  The murders came about as a direct consequence of having an economy which has the ludicrous aim of continuous expansion and with it the need for an ever increasing population, regardless of cultural origins and deep held ideologies.

Omar Mateen was a religious nutjob.  The fact that he followed the religion of Islam is important, but not because Islam is 'evil' as some people like to claim, but because it is a system of living which is incompatible with freedom.

Islam is a religion which compels its followers to destroy anything which does not fit in with their ideology.  The rationale behind Islam is that the god they follow has absolute power and nothing happens unless he wishes it to.  Unfortunately, that 'god' has chosen to send instructions for living which include cruelty to animals, misogyny, homophobia and hatred of those who do not believe in the mythology of the Ruling Class of the Islamic world.  This combination of a strict dictatorship over lifestyle, coupled with fatalism, is an excuse for the most outrageous behaviour imaginable.  The murder of 49 people who committed no crime other than to congregate in a place of their own choosing in order to associate freely with one another happened because a system of living which is anti-Socialist was allowed to exist outside its place of origin.

Islam is an ideology which is Capitalistic.  It supports the ownership of Slaves, relegating humanity to mere objects to trade.  The position of Women in Islam is one of servitude, which is enforced through violence, backed up by misogynistic hate literature which states quite openly that women are dangerous because they have 'evil' in their souls and that for this reason they must be controlled by men.  This vile dogma also exists in Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism and other creeds but is most notable in Islam, where it is made clear that it is the duty of Women to obey Men and to even think otherwise is a 'sin', with all the postmortem punishments that brings.

The religious view of Homosexuality is equal with the misogynistic treatment of Women.  SWPE policy on consensual adult sexuality is very simple - we do not regard it as an issue of any significance.  We consider sexuality between consenting adults to be a personal matter and as worthy of political discourse as such matters as left/right-handedness or musical taste.  Religious bigots take a different view, and a view they support by reference to figments of their imagination and literature which they consider 'sacred' which when analysed are merely old works of fiction which are not even well-written.

SWPE calls for an end to bigotry and for violence in the name of illusions.  The murders in Orlando were committed by a man who believed in the Islamic fantasy, but could just as easily have been committed by an adherent of any of the religions which believe in a single point of focus and a supernatural realm which is infallible and unquestionable.  SWPE calls for an end to homophobia and sexism and an end to the faiths which promote it.  The only way we can achieve this is to end the economic system under which these faiths flourish and upon which they were founded.

The Class System is justified by reference to the belief in monotheism.  Sexism and Homophobia are justified by reference to religions which dictate the very minutiae of living and a right of the Ruling Class to interfere in the lives of the Working Class.  Capitalism and Monotheism are closely inter-related, with one justifying the other.  To be truly free from financial exploitation, we must be free from all exploitation.  The Chains of Slavery are easy to see.  The Chains of Wage-Slavery are less easy, but more powerful for that.  The Chains of the Mind which people willingly accept because past generations have done so and because they fear that the lies of the religious leaders may contain truths, are the hardest of all to see and to break, but break them in ourselves we must, and also break them in others.  In a Socialist Society, all Chains will be shattered.

Let the political/religious/economic Ruling Classes tremble at the coming of the Socialist Revolution. Working People of all Sexualities and Genders Unite! Stand firm against the tyrants of illusion!  We have nothing to lose but our Chains.  We have a World to gain.

Stop Theresa May from Destroying our Fire Service

Theresa May, the Ruling Class loving Home Secretary of the UK's Capitalist toady government, is using every vile weapon at her disposal to destroy the Fire Service.  She has launched a libelous attack on our heroic men and women fire-fighters, referring to them as 'racists' when it is obvious to everyone that they risk their lives every day to save the lives of all the people who live in the UK, regardless of ethnicity.

Her 'solution' to her manufactured problem of the 'racist' (in her mind) Fire Fighters is to demand that the Fire Service be made ethnically diverse.  Anyone with the courage, aptitude and strength of character who wishes to apply to join the Fire Service, can do.  The recruitment process is not racist in any way, nor is it sexist.  The idea that men and women currently serving the People as members of the Fire Service need to be sacked to make it more tolerant, is a vicious lie.

Theresa May is pushing the Capitalist agenda.  Her controllers want to make the Fire Service a part of the Police Force, with total political control, putting power and profits before the lives of people.  The Fire Fighters have been forced to strike to protest against the undermining of working conditions, the attack upon their incomes and the politicisation of a service which values human life above all else. For resisting the Tory Tyrants, Theresa May is now attacking them as 'racists', ironically arguing for a quota system in employment which will see more ethnic minorities in the service, all accepting poor pay and inhuman conditions, treating them as slaves would be treated by slave owners.

A Clarification of Acceptable Contact with Other Organisations

SWPE is a tight knit organisation, but not a closed one.  For this reason we have not really had any problems with infiltrators.  As readers of this site will have noticed, we have had a period of silence. This was required to ascertain whether we had a mole in the organisation. Thankfully we have not, but events have required us to clarify our position on other organisations and just how much cooperation we should have with activists from outside SWPE.

We supported the Populist Party in London when they were set to contest the elections there.  We did so because they have policies which put people before profits.  Unfortunately they were not able to go forward in the electoral process, but they intend to do so in the future and we continue to support them in their endeavours.

Where we came into difficulties was with one of our most enthusiastic activists taking on too many responsibilities.  This led to actions which were well intended but raised questions about exactly how far we as individuals should go in building contacts with other organisations.  This had been left as a matter for individual consideration, but this proved to be counter to the interests of the organisation as a whole.

We now have a simple policy which all activists are required to adhere to.  Building bridges which link us with organisations which have policies or activities which go against our core values is not acceptable.  If anyone is in doubt as to which organisations are worthy of our approaches and which are not, they are to discuss this with local organisers, or where this is not possible (in the case of isolated activists or people higher in the party), they are to contact the central party.

The organisations, parties, groups and individuals which we are happy to build contact with, are listed in the Comrades section at the top of the page.  We have not until now had a proscribed list.  Due to misguided contacts with organisations which are detrimental to a healthy society, we now have one. The list is posted under the Proscribed section at the top of the page.  We have a third list for those which fall into neither category.  This is posted under the general heading of Links.  All lists are likely to be added to periodically, so it is advisable to check them before reaching out to external groups.  If in doubt, discuss your proposals with fellow activists.  Ours is not a dictatorial organisation, but without a clear system in place it is in danger from infiltration and ideological pollution.

We have decided to split the duties of the Comrade who prompted this need for a policy on acceptable contact.  The Committee feel that whilst enthusiasm is a positive trait for any activist, it is not right to allow any individual to take on too much responsibility.  The Comrade in question has been exonerated of any wrong-doing.  Thank you to individual members for your cooperation in overcoming this issue, and to supporters for your patience at this time.

Anti-Socialists screaming anti-Semitism to bring Labour back to the Capitalist fold & boost the pro-EU campaign

The UK Labour Party is in the news at the time of the local government elections, regional government elections and EU independence referendum.  The Labour Party is under attack from hostile Capitalist elements within who are creating a fake anti-Semitism scare with the aim of crashing the Labour Party's share of the vote in polls in May.  This they will use to give the impression that the public are against the current leadership of the party.  The obvious intention is to point to manufactured popular opposition to the Labour Party as an excuse to remove the Socialist hierarchy and replace them with Capitalist ones.

Jeremy Corbyn may be a Revisionist and so operate from the position of a Trotskyite, but he is still at least nominally a Socialist.  Corbyn has called for the UK to withdraw from the Capitalist armed forces of NATO and for the removal from the UK of the nuclear weaponry placed here by the Capitalist economic headquarters of the USA.  Corbyn has called for the resocialisation of key parts of the economy.  Corbyn was elected as leader of the Labour Party on the following manifesto:

• A new national investment bank to encourage growth and reduce the deficit
• Public ownership of the railway and energy sector
• Replace Trident with jobs that retain the skills of the workers
• Reduce the welfare bill through growth and investment
• Housebuilding programme and rent controls
• Integrate social care with the NHS
• A new national education service providing universal childcare, abolishing student fees, restoring grants and funding adult skills
• Scrap zero hours contracts and a national living wage for all, regardless of age

Corbyn has turned the Labour Party around, overcoming the years of Tony Blair, the War Criminal, Capitalist Lackey, Globaliser, Crusher of Trades Unions, Servant of Brussels, Enemy of the Working Class.  Tony Blair was supported and payrolled by the likes of Alan Sugar, who he had placed in the House of Lords as thanks for his financial assistance.  It is the likes of Alan Sugar who are gunning for Corbyn using the fake moral panic surrounding Livingston's reference to historical facts concerning Hitler's cooperation with Zionists in Germany in the 1930s and 1940s.

The Ruling Class are scared of the prospects of a Labour Party which will undo the tragic actions of the Thatcher-Blair-Cameron regimes.  They are absolutely terrified that the people of the UK will be able to vote for a party which has at its head a man who is not controlled by the Globalist Bankers.  The Ruling Class is using idiot political thugs like the Labour MP, John Mann, to attack people who do not support their control of the economy and subjugation of the People.  The anti-Semitic slur has been on-going since at least December 2015 when the Capitalist rag, the Sun, stated that Corbyn would appoint a 'Shadow Minister for the Jews', which can now be seen as the opening salvo in the plan to paint Corbyn as a new Hitler!

As an aside, the Sun rag infamously celebrated the murder of young Argentinian sailors on the General Belgrano, sank by the Royal Navy under orders of the hated Thatcher as a means of rallying the people to jingoism so that they would support her regime's destruction of Working Class jobs.  The Sun also supported the South Yorkshire Police atrocities against the Miners at Orgreave, mocked the Liverpool fans murdered by South Yorkshire Police at Hillsborough, excused the South Yorkshire Police cover-up of paedophile rapists destroying the lives of 1400 children.  It is appropriate that the Sun started the attack on Corbyn and that the allegations of anti-Semitism are keeping the important news of the Hillsborough Enquiry this week releasing its findings of South Yorkshire Police murdering nearly 100 football fans, away from public attention.

Ken Livingstone is no nazi.  He has been called an anti-Semite for pointing to the fact that Hitler and the Zionists had a shared ideology of belief in the separateness of the Jewish People from non-Jews.  This has been jumped on as a way of creating the impression of division in the Labour Party at the time of the May local elections in England, the national elections in Alba and Cymru, the regional elections in Erin (north) and London, and the Police and Crime Commissioner and Mayoral elections.  The most likely aim of the Blairite Capitalists is to discourage people from voting Labour, which will then be used as ammunition to remove the democratically elected Socialist leadership of Labour, Jeremy Corbyn.  The government of Cameron will use the decline in Labour support as propaganda to support a 'remain' vote in the EU independence referendum in June, even though Corbyn has gone back on his decades long anti-EU and pro-freedom stance and joined the remain side himself.  The attack on Livingston is a Trojan Horse attack on Corbyn.  The Blairites are corporate shills who want to smash the Socialists in the Labour Party.  They are enemies of the Working Class who are stoking the flames of anti-Semitism in service of their masters in the Banking and Finance sectors.

Opportunistic fascists are already pointing to the irony of Ken Livingston being attacked for stating that people who criticise Israel will be attacked.  Leading Jewish figures are lining up to cry anti-Semitism.  The list includes Baroness Julia Neuberger, Lord Sugar, Lord Levy and others rewarded by the Ruling Class for making the Labour Party a tool of commerce and an enemy of the Working Class it was set up to defend.  The controlled media is working at  an alarming rate to craft the imagery of Corbyn as a new Hitler, supported by Hamas and Hezbollah supporters who want to wipe Israel from the map (slandering Palestine Rights groups as genocidal maniacs).  The BBC and Right-wingers who are also capitalising on the on-going events are deliberately blacking out any news of Jewish groups who are speaking out in defence of Livingstone and Corbyn, preferring to focus on George Galloway who they are equally slandering.

SWPE does not allow Capitalists to dictate how we are to think.  We will not allow the hate-mongers to have the last word.  The Labour Party is under attack and the vilest slurs are being used to bring down the leadership.  We have considerable sympathy with Ken Livingstone and Jeremy Corbyn and hope that the radical direction the party has been taken in continues.  We have criticisms too, or we would simply dissolve our organisation and advise our members and supporters to join Labour!  We are Revolutionaries, not Reformers, not Reactionaries, and we are certainly not Trotskyites, so our support for Corbyn ends at sympathy. 

We feel it appropriate to quote the 'Statement on "Labour's problems with antisemitism" as issued by the Jewish Socialist Group, a group with whom we have many differences, but which nevertheless is a Jewish organisation of the Left which is not playing the BBC game of 'all Jews hate Corbyn'::

Antisemitism exists and must be exposed and fought against in the same way as other forms of racism by all who are concerned with combating racism and fascism. Antisemitism and anti-Zionism are not the same. Zionism is a political ideology which has always been contested within Jewish life since it emerged in 1897, and it is entirely legitimate for non-Jews as well as Jews to express opinions about it, whether positive or negative. Not all Jews are Zionists. Not all Zionists are Jews.

Criticism of Israeli government policy and Israeli state actions against the Palestinians is not antisemitism. Those who conflate criticism of Israeli policy with antisemitism, whether they are supporters or opponents of Israeli policy, are actually helping the antisemites. We reject any attempt, from whichever quarter, to place legitimate criticism of Israeli policy out of bounds. Accusations of antisemitism are currently being weaponised to attack the Jeremy Corbyn-led Labour party with claims that Labour has a “problem” of antisemitism. This is despite Corbyn’s longstanding record of actively opposing fascism and all forms of racism, and being a firm a supporter of the rights of  refugees and of human rights globally

A very small number of such cases seem to be real instances of antisemitism. Others represent genuine criticism of Israeli policy and support for Palestinian rights, but expressed in clumsy and ambiguous language, which may unknowingly cross a line into antisemitism. Further cases are simply forthright expressions of support for Palestinian rights, which condemn Israeli government policy and aspects of Zionist ideology, and have nothing whatsoever to do with antisemitism.The accusations do not refer to antisemitic actions but usually to comments, often made on social media, long before Jeremy Corbyn won the Labour leadership. Those making the charges now, did not see fit to bring them up at the time, under previous Labour leaders, but are using them now, just before mayoral and local elections, when they believe they can inflict most damage on the Labour Party led by Jeremy Corbyn.

The attack is coming from four main sources, who share agendas: to undermine Jeremy Corbyn as leader of Labour; to defend Israeli government policy from attack, however unjust, racist and harmful towards the Palestinian people; and to discredit those who make legitimate criticisms of Israeli policy or Zionism as a political ideology. As anti-racist and anti-fascist Jews who are also campaigning for peace with justice between Israelis and Palestinians, we entirely reject these cynical agendas that are being expressed by: 

• The Conservative Party

 • Conservative-supporting media in Britain and pro-Zionist Israeli media sources

• Right-wing and pro-Zionist elements claiming to speak on behalf of the Jewish community

• Opponents of Jeremy Corbyn within the Labour party.

SWPE has a platform of National Zionism.  We will not interfere in matters which are exclusively Jewish.  But National Zionism is fiercely opposed to Global Zionism which is the force at work here.  We will not support tyrants of any origin.

In defence of his comment that Hitler and Zionism shared a common objective, Ken Livingstone has quoted the book 'Zionism in the Age of Dictators' by Jewish Marxist, Lenni Brenner.  The hysteria around the orchestrated campaign of hate against the Socialists in the Labour Party has reached the point where Brenner himself is being labelled an anti-Semite!  Read the book for yourself and share the information.  The Capitalists are closing in on freedom.  We can not let them succeed in slandering and libeling Socialists.

William and Kate - Their Future in a Socialist Republic

SWPE is a Republican organisation.  We are totally opposed to the institution of Monarchy because its existence justifies the Class System and the idea that people can be judged and valued according to their ancestry and monetary position.

William, the grandson of the Queen, has come under fire for being 'workshy' because he doesn't spend his entire life globe-trotting for the Monarchy. In response to these allegations, he made the following statement on the evening of his grandmother's 90th birthday:

“I’m concentrating very much on my role as a father...I’m a new father and I take my duties and my responsibilities to my family very seriously and I want to bring my children up as good people. I find the air ambulance role very important to me. It’s serving the community, working alongside extremely good professionals in the medical profession and then there’s my royal responsibilities which I still keep going. But if I can’t give my time to my children as well, I worry about their future. I love my children the same way any father does and I hope George loves me the same way any son does to his father. There will be a time and a place to bring George up and understand how he fits in the world, but right now it’s just a case of keeping a secure, stable environment around him and showing him as much love as I can as a father."

William has come under attack for stating that a man's most important responsibility is to his children, and that if he is forced to work for most of his waking life, he will become remote from them and the natural bond will suffer. This is absolutely correct. What he said equally applies to men and women.

William has effectively stated that family matters and that a work situation which keeps parents and children apart is unhealthy and wrong.  Of course, it is easy for a multimillionaire to limit his working hours!  It is less easy for Working Class people who are forced into work in order to pay taxes to a bloated capitalist state.

SWPE seeks a complete end to the Capitalist system, with people allocated homes for free, given free access to essential utilities (water, electricity produced by local renewable means), land enough to produce food, thus making work something for the benefit of the people, not something to be endured in order to survive.  We would create a working week of less than half of that presently treated as the norm.  We would create the economic circumstances in which all parents could devote their time to  their children, not just those with money.

One of the most commonly used pieces of propaganda used to attack Socialists is the execution of the Tsar of Russia's family in 1918.  It is argued that the Russian Monarchy were killed on Lenin's orders out of hatred of their Class and that all Socialists share the same blood lust.  Lenin's role is greatly exaggerated and it is debatable whether the executions would have occurred if the anti-Bolsheviks had not tried to rescue them.  When we look at the sensible, human and Socialist words of William, we can see that he has a desire to be a normal man, with a desire to help his family.  We have no desire to execute him!

Our solution to the Monarchy problem is to return them to the people, to allocate them housing of no  more and no less than everyone else and to rehabilitate them into good members of society.  William speaks as a man who knows that Monarchy is immoral.  We wish him and his children a future as equals with the people, freed from the burden of a system which places people in categories due to wealth and ancestry.  Socialism is for all, and we welcome the positive words above from a man whose family has been in a position of despotism for a very long time.  The end of the Ruling Class doesn't have to be accompanied by bloodshed.  Their end is as inevitable as the rise of the People.

The Death of British Steel - Privatised into Oblivion by Corrupt Globalist Capitalists

The words 'British Steel' were once synonymous with excellence.  Now they stand as a reminder of the futility of having faith in the Capitalist System, even when it hides itself under the name of the Mixed Economy.

In 1988, the Thatcher regime (under the direction of bankers such as SG Warburg) sold the UK Steel Industry to friends of the Conservative Party.  Just as with the rest of the Socialised industries handed to corporate parasites, the 'sale' of British Steel was pushed under the propaganda (lie) that private ownership leads to greater efficiency, lower prices, more value for the customers, increased wages for the workers and generally happier times for everyone with the benefits spreading across the globe as protectionism falls in one country after another, banishing hunger, unemployment and despotism worldwide.  This is no exaggeration of the ridiculous claims of the lackeys of Capitalism.  The reality turned out to be somewhat different.

The main victims of the brutal butchery of de-Socialisation were of course the people.  We lost our assets, which were sold for a total of £50 billion, which was misused (stolen) by government to benefit their Capitalist owners, not the people.  But what of the industries themselves?  The following assets of the people were sold for peanuts to organisations which had influence over the fraudulent democracy of the UK:

The British Transport Docks Board was sold as Associated British Ports, which was gobbled up by the bankers of Goldman Sachs, literally transferring part of the infrastructure of the country into the hands of banking thieves.

British Gas was sold with the propaganda that prices would fall and people would have more choice and better services.  Prices have rocketed and the competition which was promised proved illusory as the same gas comes through the same pipes with different middle men taking their cut from the money extorted from the people.

Electricity was sold off cheaply, with foreign companies taking charge of the vital resources of the country.  The building of dangerous and inefficient nuclear power stations which have been proved to cause cancer among the people forced to live close to them - Working Class people who cannot afford to move away from them - has been a part of the reason for the sacrifice of British Steel, as the corrupt Cameron government has helped to break our steel industry in return for Chinese investment in nuclear power.  (China dumps cheap steel worldwide and protectionist measures which could have saved British Steel have been vetoed in the EU by the UK government).  Like Gas, the cost of Electricity has sky rocketed, creating financial misery for the poorest of our people.

British Telecom was sold as the first part of the de-socialisation of the Post Office.  The cost of telephone calls is now so outrageous that house phones are seldom used.  Public phone boxes which were available to use for 5 pence calls, now the minimum charge is 60 pence, and phone boxes are disappearing across the country.  BT is also a rip off when it comes to Broadband.  BT makes a fortune from screwing the people who used to own it.


The sale of Water was perhaps the most immoral of all the asset stripping gifts to the capitalist chums of the Ruling Class.  Water is not something which should be viewed as a money-making industry, but a matter of sanitation, of health, of life itself.  The introduction of Water Meters is forcing poorer people to bathe less frequently, flush their toilets less frequently and wash clothes or use water for household cleaning less frequently.  This is causing increases in disease, and the knock on effect of putting further strain on the NHS.  The water companies in England are almost exclusively owned by foreign bankers and finance capitalists.  The quality of water had declined, the number of people employed has declined, the time taken to fix leaks has increased beyond what most of us dared to fear.  The profits from water are obscene.  Access to clean water is a human right.  SWPE would socialise water as a priority and supply it for free.

The UK car industry, like the ship building industry, has collapsed since privatisation.  The sale of British Leyland, Rover, Jaguar and Rolls Royce, left areas like Longbridge as wastelands where once thousands of Working Class people had jobs.  The toff end of the car market has gone to overseas capitalists.  The UK used to make cars for everyone.  The industry was stripped and destroyed, creating mass unemployment and misery for ordinary people, at the same time of redistributing wealth into the hands of the Ruling Class in many countries.

The story is the same for every sector which we once owned.  Prices have gone up, quality has gone down, workers have been thrown on the scrapheap, overseas capitalists and UK collaborators have gained immense wealth as we ordinary people have been robbed blind.

The betrayal of the Steel workers in Port Talbot, Scunthorpe, Teeside etc has shown the government for what it is - the servant of Global Capitalism.  Eton tax dodger and pig raper, David Cameron, blocked plans by the EU to impose a 66% tariff on cheap steel imported from China.  The tariff would have saved our Steel industry.  Cameron traded the Steel industry for a promise by China to build a new Nuclear power station at Hinkley Point - never minding the danger to health associated with nuclear energy, nor the 40,000 jobs put at risk to tempt the Chinese to build the power station (which is not even guaranteed in any case).

The Capitalist system only benefits the robber barons at the top.  Tariffs to protect the jobs of the people are not enough.  We need to abandon Capitalism and Socialise the entire country.  We have a collectivised army, police force, NHS.  Only an idiot would think of handing health, defence and law and order to private profiteers, but this is what has been done with our vital infrastructure.  Coal, Steel, Manufacturing, Utilities, Transport - all have gone into private hands.  We even have private motorways to fleece drivers who are already paying heavy taxation in fuel taxes and road tax for a network which is unfit to drive on.

SWPE would end private ownership of all businesses except single owner/worker entities.  We would make all businesses into Workers' Cooperatives, with decisions being decided upon by the Workers themselves, other than wages and prices which would be fixed by the State.  Only a fully Socialised and fully Socialist economy can protect the rights, livelihoods and living standards of the people from greedy corporate globalist parasitism.  Nothing less will do,
