In the light of information exposing a charity which the original post supports, we have had no choice but to edit the below item. The sentiment is right; we must stop animal abuse. Unfortunately the organisation which we had linked, is a part of the problem. The fact that we have had to edit the post to the point where only a few lines remain, is not in any way a criticism of Chris' argument against cruelty. But, we cannot plug an organisation which we now know to be a part of the industry of death whilst masquerading as an animal charity.

Defend Nature, The Fight for Animal Welfare is an integral part of the Fight for Socialism

Animal Welfare is also one of my top priorities as a British citizen who is heavily involved in politics. We must expose the immense cruelty that goes on in labs, it needs to be stopped.
Their are better methods and less wasteful, more effective that does not involve animal testing. Millions of animals are locked inside cages, small and deliberately put into traumatic situations, clearly in pain and immense suffering, its unethical and completely unacceptable, also wasteful.
Socialist Motherland Party of the British Isles (SMPBI, formerly Socialist Workers' Party England) - I believe this socialist party will take ANIMAL WELFARE seriously!
